Vision

Dn 7:9-10, 13-14
As I watched:
Thrones were set up
and the Ancient One took his throne.
His clothing was bright as snow,
and the hair on his head as white as wool;
His throne was flames of fire,
with wheels of burning fire.
A surging stream of fire
flowed out from where he sat;
Thousands upon thousands were ministering to him,
and myriads upon myriads attended him.
The court was convened, and the books were opened.
As the visions during the night continued, I saw
One like a son of man coming,
on the clouds of heaven;
When he reached the Ancient One
and was presented before him,
He received dominion, glory, and kingship;
nations and peoples of every language serve him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
that shall not be taken away,
his kingship shall not be destroyed.

Gospel Jn 1:47-51
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him,
"Here is a true child of Israel.
There is no duplicity in him."
Nathanael said to him, "How do you know me?"
Jesus answered and said to him,
"Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree."
Nathanael answered him,
"Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel."
Jesus answered and said to him,
"Do you believe
because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree?
You will see greater things than this."
And he said to him, "Amen, amen, I say to you,
you will see heaven opened
and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."

Presumably, Daniel knew Jesus was the Son of God in the vision, and He was recognized when He was presented to the Father. Otherwise, how are we to take the passage describing the vision?

Jesus saw Nathaniel under the tree, although evidently, Jesus was not close enough to have actually seen him?

In both cases, things hidden can easily be seen by God, and perhaps we can avoid sin by remembering that God sees everything we do. If we are forgiven our sins, He does not remember them any more. Think well on this when you are angry with your brother, before you take action. He is everywhere, and sees everything and can remember what we can not. Blessed are we when He points out our sins and faults to us, because then we might take action to atone before we die.

Perhaps those who abandoned the Church can take the meaning of the visions too, that the absence of His children grieves Him, and we impoverish ourselves when we forsake our Mother.

God can do marvelous things with us in an instant. We can be snatched up to heaven in ecstasy to accomplish His Will and Purpose. What we suffered for years can be undone in an instant so we are perfect again. If He forgives our sins, we shall be perfect again.

If the world is a frightening place, we should pray for protection and ask to be defended as His child.

If the world is a frightening place, perhaps it could be different if we became different, close to God and of a like disposition, loving and affectionate toward our Creator.

I have a warning for the world; it is time to reconcile with your brothers and make peace where there is war, so that on the day He comes to reveal Himself to us, we may be as He intended we should be seen, as His children and beloved of Him.

The Lord did not dismiss or excuse Himself from the passion, but embraced the cross and won our redemption. Let not war exist between our brothers and sisters, nor in any conclave, allow dissension and vileness pervade the friendship intended. Those who deliberately try to do others harm will be punished and what was entrusted to them will be removed. Then you must make a deal with the enemy to provide for yourself, and if you do, you will be cast out into darkness and fury.
