Miracle of Ocotlan, an apparition of Jesus Crucified
Blessed Jesus Emilio Jaramillo Monsalve, Martyr
Gospel Lk 9:51-56
When the days for Jesus to be taken up were fulfilled,
he resolutely determined to journey to Jerusalem,
and he sent messengers ahead of him.
On the way they entered a Samaritan village
to prepare for his reception there,
but they would not welcome him
because the destination of his journey was Jerusalem.
When the disciples James and John saw this they asked,
"Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven
to consume them?"
Jesus turned and rebuked them,
and they journeyed to another village.

What if your foot hurt as if its bones were broken, painfully reminding you of your injury, the bones jostling in the flesh encasing it emitting pain? Would you finally be able to sleep? Without shedding a drop of blood, my foot was injured in an accident, and I sleep only a little, as He permits.
Having given this suffering to me, it is up to me to sanctify it and offer it to the Lord for souls I do not see who remain anonymous, in need of grace to live or be saved. The pain will last a little while and discomfort me until the injuries are healed, but until I can praise the Lord and be glad in the days He's given me.
The world bleeds, and pain is everywhere as we are all subject to it until we have been prepared for the revelation of His greatness and mercy on the world in reminding us just how difficult it is to enter Heaven.
As He reminds us, He heals us so that we will be ready for the final moments He created for us in which to live.
I cringe thinking of some people's injuries, for I know they are full of pain and do not go away. If they offered it up to Jesus as they suffered, great graces would wash over the world like tsunamis, irresistible over the earth.
But what of those whose injuries are not of the body, but hurt as if they were? The sufferings in the soul are invisible except to those with great compassion. There are those who keep the sufferers in their heart and invite them to give the pain to them, for God who is unseen can see them, and comfort them and work, at the same time, to heal all our world which is tried so sorely.
Do you know that He makes each cross individually for each recipient to accomplish the best things that souls can do, given the greatness of His compassionate love? Then each is suited to the one to whom it is given, and the individual unrepeated life in singularly unique in the universe, and He cares for each one a great deal, more than they can even know unless He shows us how great.
The world is full of a harmony of singing souls completely hidden in obscurity, keeping solitary souls company and nourishing their souls with grace like a great honey made by angels. They who fast in solitude and darkness are completely hidden and undetected, and in their solitude they encounter God whatever they see. There will come a day when each will stand brilliantly illuminated in the glory of the Lord, and every soul in Heaven will raise praise high in Heaven, beholding their glory. Why should you not join your voice of praise even now ? The selfless sing forgetting pain and solitude or fasting or suffering, for God abides in great glory surrounded by the just.
I do not understand how men can know so much and act so ignorantly. Do they see nothing of the beauty of the Lord? Does not the Lord proclaim His goodness loudly enough in all the earth's great splendor? Mountainsides raise their voice of praising in the high vault of the sky proclaiming Him God and Lord and worthy of praise and joy, so that He celebrates our union even now. And celebrating, are we not raised up, lifted out of ourselves in the living Goodness? Then let the breath you take pronounce praise in high heaven until the earth reverberates with light and joy and peace and all suffering is finally forgotten.
