Peace

We are family, part of each other's lives.

Those who promote war when a way to peace is open, take a path into hell and eternal damnation in the most exquisite pain.

We should ask for peace at every opportunity, regardless of the pain involved in giving ourselves to Christ.

We should do all in our power to ask the Lord for peace, instead of stirring up innocent souls who stand only to be destroyed by the implements of war. Hatred sets aside all possibilities for peace and rest. If you hate your brother and wish his death in war, you are bringing down on yourself, the death you would wish to avoid yourself.

God created both yourself and your brother. Just as we are obligated to sustain and protect the lives of our children, so too we are obligated to pray for the good and the welfare of all other human beings. Let the prayer for peace be a shield held high by the Holy Spirit and the strong arms of Jesus crucified. If the Holy Spirit is near us, He will hold our arms straight and give them strength to persevere, because that is His goal for us all.

Let us pray for strength, grace and peace so that in every instant, we are ready to make  ourselves available to the Holy Spirit in the combat against evil in the world. People who wish to live and die in peace, the friendship with Jesus, must offer their very selves to God as a sacrifice to be used to sanctify others and ourselves, so that we may become a source of strength at all times. While we are alive, we have great work to do securing the place of Jesus with all His power, in the world, so that peace and strength prevail in a world of violence and sin, of selfishness and all the ways that hell employees to drag us from the arms of Jesus.

Whilst we are busy and trying to prove things beyond doubt, we should never fail to believe in the victory of Jesus in the world, and the place of our brothers at our side pouring forth their own selves in the struggle of salvation.

God will ask this of us, and judge us on our love for others. Let there never be any doubt when we are examined by those who will undoubtedly examine us and find us lacking, that we stood firmly at the side of the Crucified who proved and proves, His love of us at every moment until everything is accomplished and a new heavens and a new earth appear. May they appear beforehand so that we may see and live in awe of the love and power of Jesus toward us all. Let Him hold you in His pierced hands, and may He anoint you with His own Blood to seal you against sin or selfishness, so that you may be a source of the greatest consolation for your brothers.

Pray for the peace of God in Jesus to be abundantly present to us all, so that the divine order might be established and the just may enjoy peace in silence established with all He said.

I celebrated my 77nd birthday yesterday. It is an incentive to be present to Jesus in silence and solitude, however we are disposed so that in the final analysis, it may not be doubted we loved Him always, and fought always to belong to Him no matter what happens around us, so that others may realize there is a Garden full of quiet and peace and the joy of being with Jesus.

Assumptions

Shall I be disturbed, or am I the Lord of Heaven
and earth in whom you should trust?

Be careful what you assume. Plans can change in an instant. I have been praying, for some time now, that the Blessed Mother would end the war in Ukraine and bring peace in the many conflicts in the world. One must take foreign news media with some skepticism because their expectations are high, and they want certain things so badly, that they interpret some events as nearly miraculous. Still, time has a way of clarifying things, and the truth eventually is set forth.

We must trust that God will always speak the truth, and if He asks for anything, we ought to instantly take Him up on the offer, so as not to lose grace when it is available.

So my curiosity was piqued this morning when a news outlet posted a video on Youtube on how Putin was in peace talks. Call it what you will, but truth is often slowly revealed, and miraculous events vanish when the truth finally is told.

Accepting what people say wholly is a recipe for disappointment, to say the least. Behind the serpent's tongue is often a mouthful of venom waiting to be released in a savage bite. There are some people that no one should trust. Russia still acts and operates very much like the Soviet Union, and no one should let their guard down just yet. Putin wants something badly. The fact that he has not overwhelmed Ukraine with his invasion is a sign to not trust events or to get your hopes up too high. People who want something as badly as Russia wants may resort to desperate measures, and will oil the wheels of tanks with venom.

I do not doubt the Blessed Mother. She will vanquish Her enemies. Do not cease praying, saying your Rosary or doing penance. Each and every tiny thing you do for penance will be powerful because God makes it powerful. Standing at the side of Mary will get a front row seat in the conquest to come, and those who trusted Her, also thereby trusted Jesus, who has in the past so urgently expressed His desire that we trust Him. Ask Him to forgive your sins, and He will. If you do not sin, you have nothing to worry about. Trust that He will see to it that you are saved.

Let His in-dwelling peace reign in your heart, and do not let the world invade your heart or your peace, but trust in God. to protect you and make you glad in life.

Rest

When God looks at us, He is  not seeing merely  a lively blob of flesh, but a  spirit. Perhaps we could look upon God in a similar way. He is not merely flesh, but Spirit. It is our spirit that is superior to the flesh that characterizes His approach to us and the way in which He deals with us.   Thus, we should  follow His example, and try to recognize the spiritual side of ourselves.

For a young person, life is to the far horizons; as we get older, and the body begins to respond sluggishly and starts to hurting us in the midst of all the simplest activities, that we realize we are aging, and we are approaching the day when we will be free of the flesh and live as spirit. Many people are troubled by this event, and try to  do anything they can to restore their body to it is  former responsiveness, and to stave off the moment when we leave this reality to encounter the one our spirit had tried to assert all our life.

The passion-life of Jesus was meant to atone for sin and to clear the way for a closer unity with us in our life. But it depends on our response to His grace. Without grace, any attempt at unity is going to be very difficult, yet He is not without generosity, and pours out graces on us in abundance. Regardless, that grace must somewhat stick with us, or no one would  show the slightest inkling that we are aware of Him.

But people are aware; some prefer not to be reminded of His proximity. The bitterness in the Heart of Jesus is there because of  our rejection of His love and grace, so that our life is diminished even as it is dwindling away.

We cannot let sin prevent us responding to Him so that we might be transformed. The whole point of His ministry in life was that we can turn to Him and we can expect grace to help us and to change us. The whole point of my existence is to live to serve others by my prayers and penances, to elicit the grace that is needed by everyone so desperately.

We are all under a death sentence, but we cannot let that darken  us to the point we are simply paralysed in fear, because there is work to be done, and we each have a task to accomplish. It will be the salvation of us if we pay attention. He is not unaware of our needs, nor does He refuse us what we need, even if we have sinned. Even the earth itself is full of light and warmth to remind us. If we allow ourselves to take some rest in prayer, we might not only see the light, but feel the Spirit moving through us like a gentle, restful peace.

Because

I wrote because He asked me to.

What happened three days after He was crucified? The stone sealing the sepulcher was rolled aside to open it up, and Mary Magdalen encountered Jesus, not recognizing Him. Somehow His appearance was different, and Mary did not recognize Him.

I am a creature of  God, and He has risen, and has revealed Himself to me day by day over 76 years. Sometimes it was through harsh pain, deep abandonment and profound silent solitude, resonating with the Spirit of a risen Lord, at a time when my soul was drier than a desert emptiness.

The desert was too vast; I could not take it in, yet I was abandoned here, waiting for His command. He was silent as no one else can be silent - after He has spoken calling you, no one tells you how silent it is when He stops speaking, and my soul was in agony to hear again, the voice Whom I loved.

I wanted to enter into the mystery of a man alive with deadly wounds pouring forth blood like Jesus; I did, but not the way I'd hoped. It was ever so hidden and mundane, almost to the point of feeling I had died. But I had and it took me a while to recognize the landscape and orient to a new life.

O how I wish that resurrection would burst forth within you, pain and desolation and all, so you might catch at least a fleeting glimpse of real glory you could remember forever.

The miracle was that was changed in subtle ways, uplifted, glorified and transfigured until I scarcely recognized myself.

I am different; my soul wants to cry out so people who cannot hear will hear me, and so people who cannot see, might glimpse sight again and realize the life that He is waiting to given them. It is nothing like what people force themselves to see; it is more subtle than merely getting what you want. It is enough to ask Him "Crucify me, Lord so I may serve you ! "But He says, you are already crucified, you need nothing more but to follow me."

Sometimes I ache so badly, that no one sees. Neither in a word I say, nor in a drop of blood, do I proclaim what He bids me say, but angels in heaven kneel before the word of God and raptured up into heaven high, all heads are bowed low before the living God. They stood in disbelief to see what was revealed, and I did not realize, or recognize the Lord at first. I still stand before Him offering my poor self and bodily me, trembling prayers on my lips. Sometimes my mouth was too dry to swallow, and sometimes the pain pressed me hard against the unyielding rock, caring nothing for my distress. Yet, under the blazing sun, He told me to enter the cave, and I waited just inside as cataclysms flew by in terrifying roars. Me, of all persons I know who deserved more to see what was shown.

Now is the time to standard in ordinary daylight listening to sparrows singing in the trees, and wondering at the Spirit flowing in the wind through me.

It all boils down to one saying: "He is risen."
