Come Forth

Life moves on eh? The gout in my left foot is diminishing slowly. I need to get to the store to buy groceries.

We need not trouble the Lord with  our curiosity, acting as if He had no rights. What rights we have, are given us, by a Being we cannot comprehend, and even if we could see Him as He is, we could still not comprehend unless He helped us to. If it will help His cause, He

The sweetness of lingering to listen is the
love that is called to come forth into the  world.

may reveal things to us in a manner we can understand, but we must remember that it is an approximation of reality, a reality we cannot comprehend.

Blessed the gentle soul that can hold His secrets unseen within their heart, for it makes the heart stronger, beating so, and enlarges, it so that it has room for Him.

He holds surprises in store for us, and safeguards our secrets for us so they are not spoiled or lost in mortality. Sometimes He leads us into His garden to be with Him. There He unburdens His Heart to us, and speaks what we long to hear, and our poor heart becomes like a great balloon, on the verge of exploding for the delight of it all. He would never let it burst. We have miles to go and things to do, and we must make a visible world for all the people to observe, creating with our hands, what remains  invisible and hidden within us. All the love and all the strength and all the logical beauty of our inner selves built up out of the materials of earth to live in and share with others.

There is no person lonelier than one who can share nothing of what exists within. Through neglect we lose the ability to imagine or to build or to even so much as imagine. It is a sad, drab place where no candle is ever lit, and where stars are never gazed at. The whole world lies before our wondering eyes, and we are not supposed to stop wondering. The tear rolling down our cheeks is the beginning of a new life, if we follow the urgent longing in our hearts, if we have not already extinguished them.

Blessed is the man who sees the world and realizes it is the same there as everywhere. beautiful, waiting to be shared and to cause us to exclaim the excellence of God's way. Blessed is the man who makes others glad, for he is making room for more inside, and each impulse is a share in God's own life.

Life on His cross gives life, and the pain accompanying life is a constant tone that remains insisting that we love no matter what. To learn to love is to share the pain of others, and to love the Lord is a share in His life, His cross where He lives for us, ready to respond to all our love and all our curiosity and the impulses of life.

It is such a mystery, this life, but we become aware, little by little, the more we build, that the mystery holds a greater mystery, waiting to unfold. enjoy the anticipation.

Jongleur de Jesus

Just to prove that God has a sense of humor, I post these photos here, taken from my iPhone.
He knew of my attraction to His passion, and deigned to share with me. It incapacitates, and makes me shudder thinking about what His passion was like in reality, because the reality of trying to hobble around on this sore foot gives pause for sure. The pain when I put weight on the foot is penetrating. I find myself wondering how St. Padre Pio could stand to walk around when he was one truly sharing in the fullest way, with the cross of Jesus. The pain penetrates truly all the way through just exactly as if there were nails, and I can openly endure this happenstance happy in my imitation of my Lord, safe in the thought the glory is His and the pain is mine to treasure in His love, and I am free for humiliation such as my sins deserve.

May the Good Lord bless His children with peace and all the good things we need, abundantly.

Security

As a baby we did not know how to speak or see, yet we followed every sound our parents made, and were secure in their hands.

I have developed a small case of gout in my left foot, out of nowhere. It is painful but the pain is manageable, thankfully.

I was thinking recently about how we see. It is assuredly not on our own. It is telling that the mystical experience of prayer is often described as darkness or night. The eyes do not see the Lord, the spirit does. and if we are not granted the vision by which to see Him, to satisfy our longing to see, then we see by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The spirit longs to see the Lord, free of the limitations of the fleshen eyes, and the spirit shares in the being of God by His grace, and accordingly, when we begin to see spiritually, as it were, then we also participate in the joy of the Lord to involve us in His seeing, and advance toward unity with Him at His pace.

One must put aside the desires, as difficult as that may be, learning to see for the moment with eyes that can see nothing, while He prepares a place for us to abide with Him.

We cannot at first find words to convey the reality of our being, but to those with spiritual eyes, the gladness of the soul permeating a person united to Him cannot be mistaken for anything else but God.

We learn to proceed with trust, allowing the Lord to help us walk, though at times it may not be apparent we are moving at all, or are soaring without the burden of our former reality.

It is imperative we know these things in a world that can be annihilated in an instant.

We should realize our time is short, and that it is important to ask Him what to say and what to do so that we may live in peace. Then too, sometimes there is no substitute for the flowing of the Holy Spirit through us in an astounding peace. To be aware of it, or to participate in it, it i necessary to pray with our spirit and our being. These are without words.

Merry-Go-Round

I have had internal problems again and have slowly recuperated. Along with feeling lousy comes a lack of desire and inspiration; they are hard to combat.

Given what is going on in the world, I feel like I am on a merry-go-round, hanging on for dear life. i offered my small sufferings to Jesus and His Mother for the sake of souls. I hope you will do the same and profit from the graces that flow from doing so.

Spring is establishing itself firmly and the trees are fully loaded with beautiful leaves. The Cottonwoods soar high and sway in the wind. i  miss the hummingbirds. people in the apartments above me have a feeder and it usually os very busy. The hummers flock in from the feeders to rest in the treetops, usually, but they abruptly disappeared. I read that California has a bloom going on and the birds have gone south for the feast :). A little rain is all it takes to clothe the hillsides in life .

The propaganda machines ae busy on Youtube, and I continue to pray for peace. Meantime, let us pray the truth be known and not the lies.

UPDATE:
I think my troubles are related to fasting. I will have to mitigate the fasting.
