Tranquil

Do I not preserve my creation?

People today are drawn to what I call "tabloid Christianity", in which signs and wonders purport  to reveal the future and and warn of apocalyptic punishments. It is easy to get addicted to such things to the point that people lose objectivity and sadly, their precious peace of mind.

Avoid getting hysterical that way. If a person pays notice of such things and maintain their peace and joy, and show the respect and reverence to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and otherwise are responsive to jesus for Himself, then perhaps their life has been secured in the Heart of Jesus, for there will be nothing of value without the two.

Jesus had always warned people to pay attention to what He said, and to follow Him in being like Him, peaceable and calm.

It is important that you should not be hysterically agitated and frightened when you hear that such and such has been predicted to take place. You know very well that Jesus is always active, and things can change, and that He is counting on His children to change. He can change things in an instant. One must preserve peace and quiet within themselves, and if a person is continually stirred up to fever pitch, then one ought to ask why, and to pray for the person's peace of mind.

Pray that the Lord fortify us in His Heart as in a citigel. He sends us forth from peace, knowing the peace where may dwell is maintained. Evil has no such effect on people, but  continually assaults us with temptation and sinful innuendos trying to dislodge our hearts from the peace of God and His love. The two go together and accompany the children of God to protect them.

We know that calamity waits for the human race. We have polluted the earth and the results have been deleterious effects on the environment, so that nature reacts as it can given exaggerated stimuli provided by excess. Nevertheless, we need to remain at His feet, quietly loving Him and commending ourselves to God. Such people will strong and close to the happiness of God, and people will benefit from their inner strength.

Do not get to the point you forget Jesus as you become aware of troubles. That is a dangerous position to be in.

We pray to live, but death is always coming; it is not as if we were not already abundantly aware of it. It does not mean we have lost Jesus, or that our soul is lost. He Himself told us we are steeped in sin, but that He can clean us and heal us and renew us, and these facts are more important than signs and wonders, secret and hidden revelations.

Patience

Infinity is more than the repetitive reflection of objects. We are all part of the human race, and we all have bodies and minds and souls all of which have their own requirements. I need to breathe as you do; I need to drink water and to eat, and I am subject to the need for sleep. It is well known that the Lord tests those He loves. But trying our patience can also happen. In adversity, one needs patience, and a Christian, especially a devout one, needs love. Trusting that there will be a good resolution is part of life, and it is sometimes more than trying.

The mistakes we make as human beings often affect other people; sometime a great number of people. One can take comfort in the fact that we are not alone; everyone is undergoing the same frustration and trial.

It is known that we are loved, because we can love in return, and the Lord appreciates our love. Beating off an attack of evil can take time and the rearrangement of many lives at the same time.  It can be like a Denial of Service hack attack on the internet. If enough people try to access a server at the same time, the connection will fail or be rejected. Everyone gets disconnected until the problem is resolved. That there are people who enjoy doing that is unfortunate, and some get paid by foreign governments to take down servers

I have had more than enough of frustration. On the other hand, my gouty foot is healing nicely, my back is behaving and life is falling back into place. One more hurdle and I will be free and clear.

Fidelity

Gospel Mk 12:18-27

Some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection,
came to Jesus and put this question to him, saying,
"Teacher, Moses wrote for us,
If someone's brother dies, leaving a wife but no child,
his brother must take the wife
and raise up descendants for his brother.
Now there were seven brothers.
The first married a woman and died, leaving no descendants.
So the second brother married her and died, leaving no descendants,
and the third likewise.
And the seven left no descendants.
Last of all the woman also died.
At the resurrection when they arise whose wife will she be?
For all seven had been married to her."
Jesus said to them, "Are you not misled
because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
When they rise from the dead,
they neither marry nor are given in marriage,
but they are like the angels in heaven.
As for the dead being raised,
have you not read in the Book of Moses,
in the passage about the bush, how God told him,
I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac,
and the God of Jacob?
He is not God of the dead but of the living.
You are greatly misled."

Even if a man did as these people suggest, the offspring of their actions would be their own, and not their brothers. The brothers offspring would be the offspring of a man not his brother. What else are people proposing that makes no sense? What people propose frequently makes no sense, which is why it is called nonsense.

You have the Gospels written for you, and the opinions of others do not have any bearing on the truth because the truth is God's word, and no one has the right to ridicule it or  abrogate it.

People, do not be misled thinking you can think and do as you please and live. Freedom is frequently abolished and taken away, and you serve others because you were unfaithful to God. The only fitting remedy is to believe in Jesus Christ who is God and Lord, and to repudiate whoever would plant others in the Lord's field.

Since believing frequently results in death because someone else thinks they are god, it follows that you have no continuity in God if you do not believe. There are many ready to take your life from you because you will not believe in their nonsensical god.

Be prepared to give an accounting to God who has the right to demand your life. It has been an occasion of much bitterness, that a man spent his whole life trying to do his own will, blithely ignoring the duty to do and pursue and to know the Will of God. You will make your accounting to God, not to men, but if you are faithful to God and allow others to take your life, who is your god?

If I am killed by anyone, let it be known that I served the Lord, and not whoever took my life. God made me, and He gave me life, and so I serve Him, and no one else. No one has the right to demand my life of me but the Lord Our God. and anyone who attempts to take the life of another is in sin, grave sin. That this century has been bloody no one can deny, because it is the truth. Those who acted as if they were god were already deranged, and did not make sense and lost the power of reason. They were acting reasonably who submitted to death to serve the Lord and to make a testimony to Him with the gift of their life. They returned to God what God had given them and were known as martyrs, which is to say, witnesses to Jesus.

The kindness of the Lord is outstanding, and those who served Him knew His gentle love and were not ashamed to serve Him. Likewise, those who met their end through violence were known for their gentleness and kindness, animated by love as they were.

Pray for peace, and it will be given you, and if anyone take away your peace and quiet, be diligent in asking God to return your peace and quiet to you. Use your peace and quiet to love the Lord and know Him, and you will serve Him.

Strong

A post from the internet of Facebook.

I need not be afraid; the Lord, the God of Heaven and earth has made me strong as
Himself, without asking, but knowing my soul and the echoes of trepidations that so often haunt the darkness that so often surrounds me.

Not only am I strong, gazing at death and hell, but I am joyful, knowing He will lead me to His side to be with Him forever, with His presence and His love to clothe me and His love to keep me warm.

Do not be afraid; be close to God who loves you and will never abandon you.
